Rules and Code of Conduct for Host Showdown
These rules govern participation in the Host Showdown Contest. By participating, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:
1. Vote Queuing and Validation
Clause 1.1: Votes will no longer be directly submitted. Instead, they will be queued and validated at the end of a session.
Clause 1.2: Votes will only be counted if the session exceeds 60% of the planned duration and main host is available. Shortened or abandoned sessions will result in discarded votes.
Example: A room scheduled for 60 minutes will only have its votes counted if the session runs for at least 36 minutes (60% of 60).
Penalty for Violation: Abandoned sessions or sessions falling below 60% of their planned duration or detection of fraudulent activities will result in votes being invalidated and further penalties.
2. Language Weightage
Clause 2.1: To encourage English proficiency, bilingual rooms will carry a weight of 1x ratings, while English-only rooms will carry a weight of 2x ratings.
Note: Votes have now been replaced with ratings.
Example:
- A bilingual room with 100 votes will contribute 100 weighted ratings.
- An English-only room with 100 votes will contribute 200 weighted ratings.
Clause 2.2: Hosts must clearly specify the primary language of the room when creating it. Mislabeling may result in room destruction or temporary ban.
